David returns to Metro for his 5th season. He has coached as both a head coach and assistant coach for South teams.
He started his volleyball career when he began playing for the club volleyball team at Longwood University. As he learned and experienced volleyball at Longwood, he worked toward a master’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in teaching. Taking what he had experienced from playing club and learned as an aspiring teacher, he started coaching volleyball at the school he currently works at.
David first started as an assistant coach for the first season where he gained valuable experience from the staff members. At the start of his second year to the present, he has had the opportunity to work as the Junior Varsity Head Coach. Over the last 5 season, as both an assistant and head coach, learning with the players as he finds ways to encourage and engage players so that they may meet their full potential before moving onward to the next step in their lives.

Stephanie is beginning her 8th season with Metro and 11th overall year coaching. She has previously coached at the 13s, 14s, and 15s level, and is entering her 4th year coaching with 16 South PW and first year with 18 South PW. Previous year highlights include winning Non-Bid Regional Championships, 3rd place finish at Charm City, top 5 finishes at Virginia Beach Grand Prix and SAC, top 8 finishes at Capitol Hill Classic, and numerous regional one day tournament wins. She instills a focus on basics, mental toughness, positive team dynamics, and competitiveness in all her teams.
She is a GIS engineer and is currently finishing a Masters Fellowship at the University of Maryland in Geographic Information Systems. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her pitbull Marley, working out, and spending time at the beach.

Kaitlin is beginning her 7th season as the 16 South PW assistant coach for Metro Volleyball Club.
She is currently going into her third year as the Head Varsity coach at Forest Park High School. Kaitlin is a Woodbridge native who played at Osbourn Park High School. She continued to her career with 3 years of NAIA college volleyball.
Kaitlin has Bachelors degrees in Health and Physical Education as well as Sports Management and a Masters from George Mason in Special Education. She is currently a Special Education teacher for Prince William County Schools. In her free time, she enjoys being with friends and family.

Owen is returning to Metro for his fifth season with the club. Owens has also previously coached two seasons with Metro South-Fairfax and two seasons with Metro Central. He is in his second season leading the JV program at Georgetown Day School. Previously, he served as head coach at Bishop Ireton High School, Walsingham Academy, and National Cathedral School, and also as an assistant coach at Marymount University.
Owen grew up in Alaska and attended Pepperdine University, where he was first exposed to high-level volleyball with both the men's and women's programs there, learning the game from their Hall of Fame men's coach Marv Dunphy.
He moved to the DMV in 2006 and has coached basketball, baseball, softball, football, and swimming in addition to volleyball at the middle school and high school levels.
Owen has an MBA from George Washington University (2010) and a Master of Arts in Education from William & Mary (2021), and in addition to coaching is a PE teacher at Barrie School in Silver Spring and a staff writer for The Nats Report. Owen and his wife, Kristen, live in Alexandria with their two dogs.

Ilona is in her second season at Metro. She started her volleyball career as a Middle player, and migrated into coaching after her youngest daughter started playing volleyball during high school. She enjoys coaching and seeing players take instruction and apply it to their own growth in the game.
“Coaching is more than just a passion it’s where I find true joy. As the new season approaches, I’m excited about the opportunity to inspire and develop talent. My goal is to continue elevating the talent in the South Region driving growth and excellence both on and off the court."
Heather is gearing up for her fourth season with Metro, where she'll continue her role as Head Coach for the 14s PW South team. In her second year as the 14s PW South head coach, Heather builds on a highly successful season that saw her team clinch several tournament titles, including a Silver at the Virginia Beach Grande Prix, and Gold at both Charm City and SAC, along with multiple one-day tournament victories. Additionally, Heather led her team to become the 14s Regional Champions.
Heather’s coaching experience spans all ages and levels. Prior to her current role, she served as the assistant coach for the Metro 18s PW and a former Varsity Head Coach. Currently she is the Varsity Assistant Coach at Forest Park High School.
Over her eight years of coaching, Heather continues to inspire and lead with a passion for developing young talent and achieving excellence on the court. Heather moved to the Northern Virginia area in 2015 to attend Marymount University, where she earned her Master’s in Forensic and Legal Psychology. She now works as a Program Analyst for the Department of Justice. Outside of her professional and coaching roles, Heather loves to stay active, engaging in a variety of physical activities and adventures.

Rachel’s love for volleyball began in high school, where she quickly developed a passion for the sport. After playing throughout high school and occasionally participating in recreational leagues, Rachel transitioned into coaching. She started her coaching career at the Boys and Girls Club, where she served as head coach for three seasons. Rachel then took on the role of Freshman coach at Osbourn High School. Rachel temporarily served as the Varsity Head Coach mid-season when the team needed her but has since resumed her role as the Freshman volleyball coach for this season. Rachel is now excited to begin her third year with Metro, taking on the role of assistant coach for the 14s PW team, building on her experience from her time with the 14s Fairfax team.
When she’s not on the court, Rachel works as a Veterinary Assistant at an animal hospital and is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician License. At home, she enjoys relaxing with her beagle, Pidge, combining her love for animals with her professional and personal life.

Will joined Metro in 2015 as the 13 South PW head coach and South Director. Will has lead his teams to many medal finishes in the CHRVA region. Prior to joining Metro, he coached with Metro American Volleyball Club as a head coach and area director.
Will has also been the League Coordinator for a youth volleyball program in Delaware, the coach for three women's USAV teams, the Assistant Varsity Coach at McDonough School (1998-1999), the Instructor for Adult and Youth Clinics through Mid-Atlantic Volleyball (1998-2003) and the Assistant JV Coach at Woodbridge High School (2011-2012). He is also a referee with the Quantico Volleyball Officials Association (QVOA).
Will played competitive volleyball while in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He was selected for the "All Star" Military Community Team and traveled throughout Europe playing in joint-force, international tournaments. After the military, he relocated to Dover, Delaware where he continued to play as a USAV adult player in the Chesapeake Region for a variety of clubs at different levels.
Will attended Wilmington University where he completed coursework towards a BS in Business Management and is currently the Director of Operations at Performance & Leadership Development, Ltd. – an executive coaching firm based in DC.
