David Van is entering his second-year assistant coaching with Metro Volleyball Club. He will still be coaching Metro 14 South with Tiana Patterson.

David started his volleyball life when he played for his club volleyball team at Longwood University. As he played volleyball at Longwood, he achieved a master’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in teaching. Taking what he had learned from his club experience and teaching he started coaching volleyball at the school where he works. He first started as an assistant coach for his first season where he gained valuable experience from his staff members. His second year entailed him working as the Junior Varsity head coach for the past two seasons.
