Metro VBC Megan Onyundo -15 South Head Coach - 2021

“I am excited to be back with the Metro for a new club season. I am looking forward to the growth and success this season will bring!"

 

This is Megan’s second season coaching for Metro. Previously, she was the head coach of Metro 14 Central and is thrilled to return to coaching in the South region. Last year, Metro 14 Central had a successful season medaling at a regional tournament and finishing the season on a winning streak prior to the pandemic. 

 

A Virginia native, Megan played high school volleyball at Osbourn Park. While in high school she played for Metro’s Travel team helping her 18s team win the first National Championship in the CHRVA Region in 2015. Following high school, Megan went on to play Division 1 volleyball at Providence College in Providence, RI while earning a degree in Biology. Megan currently works at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and in her spare time is on the stat team for George Washington University and American University Athletics.
