Coach VJ Iannone returns to Metro Volleyball Club for the fifth year and will serve as our Head Coach for 15 North.  For the past two seasons, Iannone coached 13 North to a total of 16 Gold Bracket appearances, an impressive 5th place finish at the Capitol Hill Classic for two consecutive seasons, and finished overall 2nd in the Region for the past two seasons.  In addition to coaching at Metro, Coach VJ is currently in her third year coaching at Arundel High School in Anne Arundel County, where the Wildcats made it to the 4A State Semi-Finals in 2016, and the 4A State Finals in 2017. Coach VJ has also served as head JV Coach for the past two seasons where the Wildcats were undefeated in 2017 and are currently 7-1 this season and undefeated in their county. Coach VJ played Division-III volleyball at the University of Scranton, where she was a three-year starter at Outside Hitter and a two-year captain.  Coach VJ is full-time faculty at Stevenson University and is clinical and sport psychologist. As part of her work as a consultant, she works with individual athletes, teams, and athletic programs to help them achieve their full potential both in and out of the athletic arena. She regularly uses sport psychology principles in her coaching of young athletes to help them develop the mental skills needed to complement their physical skills and achieve their full potential both on and off the court.
