Metro 13 North had a great showing this past weekend, finishing in second place at their debut tournament, WACO Blizzard Play 13, on January 22nd. 

They started off strong in pool play taking their first two matches in two sets from both FAVBC 13 Blue and MOJO Elite Heat 13.  They dropped the third match in pool play to WCJRS 13 Twisters and then defeated Hub City 13 Kaos to earn second place on the net and a spot in the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, the Warriors demonstrated solid defense and executed a strong offense to defeat Loudoun Elite 13 in 3 sets, and sending them to the finals against Panhandle Boomers 13.  After coming out strong and winning the first set convincingly, Metro dropped the second to force a deciding third set.  Panhandle cam out on top with a score of 16-14.
