Metro VBC Rayvn Richardson - 16 East Head Coach - 2022

"I am very excited to be coaching Metro 16 East for a fourth year! It is my goal to use my experience as a former collegiate athlete and leader to help each athlete become the best volleyball player and the best leader that they can be. "Where mother nature ends, that's where athleticism begins."

Ravyn is excited to be entering her fourth year as the head coach of Metro 16 East. She comes to Metro VBC with 13 years of experience starting at age 13 as a middle for Ichiban Volleyball Club in Manassas, VA. In high school she played for Denver, CO’s Momentum VBC; Columbia, MD’s Columbia Volleyball Club; and later Baltimore Elite VBC.

Ravyn completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine at Hampton University in December 2018, where she played as an OH for the Division I volleyball team for four years. Her first year, she was a part of the 2014 MEAC Championship team.

Ravyn began her coaching while she was still a player at Hampton, starting as the head coach for Coastal Hampton Roads VBC 16 State team in 2018. She then was Head Coach of both the Boys’ Varsity and Girls’ Varsity Volleyball teams at Phoebus High School in Hampton, VA. In 2019 she joined the Elizabeth Seton Roadrunners volleyball program as the JV Head Coach and the Varsity Assistant Coach. She has been a part of the Metro family for a long time with two Metro alum little sisters.
