Summer Bowins, returns to Metro this season as the head coach for 14 North after being the assistant coach for 14 North last season. Summer has also been the head coach of the Metro 13 North and Metro 15 North teams during the 2018 and 2017 seasons respectively, and was the assistant coach for Metro 18 North for 3 seasons. Summer also has experience coaching at the high school level as the head varsity coach at Walkersville for 2 seasons and now as the head JV coach at Urbana. During her high school career at Governor Thomas Johnson, Summer was the varsity starting libero for 3 years. She also played setter/libero at FAVOR and was the starting libero for Metro North 15s and 18s, Potomac Elite 16s, and at Frederick Community College.
