MJ is returning for his second year with Metro after serving as the 12s head coach last year. In the 2018-2019 season, MJ led the team to 9 of 9 Gold bracket appearances including 3 wins (including the Boardwalk Block Party), 3 runner-ups, and a 5th place finish at the Capital Hill Classic.

MJ has previously coached at the high school, club, junior college, and collegiate club level. He spent two years as an assistant coach for Bald Eagle Area High School (Wingate, PA) while they won back to back Mountain League titles and advanced deep in the PIAA District VI AA tournament. He also served as an assistant with the Revolution Volleyball Club - North for two years, a season as an assistant with the Penn State Women’s Club Volleyball team, and a season as an assistant with Frederick Community College.

MJ graduated with a bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from Penn State in 2011, and is currently a consultant with a hospitality technology consulting firm based in Potomac, MD
