Summer Bowins, returns to Metro this season as the 14 North assistant coach.  As the head coach of 13 North last season, she led her team to 3rd in Silver Division at Capitol Hill Classic, 2nd in Silver bracket at SAC, and won the AVA 13/14s Summer Hurry Up .  Previously, Summer was the head coach for Metro 15 North and assistant coach for Metro 18 North for 3 seasons. During her high school career at Governor Thomas Johnson, Summer played as a varsity starting libero for 3 years.  She also played setter/libero at FAVOR and was the starting libero for Metro North 15s and 18s, Potomac Elite 16s, and Frederick Community College. She is currently in her second season as head coach of Walkersville High School’s Varsity Volleyball team.
