"Even though this year might look a little bit different, I'm ecstatic about returning for my third year of coaching club! Thrilled to be working with 18 year olds as they are possibly transitioning to college volleyball, ready to meet the team and get started!"

 

This is Rachel's third season coaching for Metro as the 18 South PW's assistant. Rachel is currently the varsity volleyball coach at Osbourn High School in Manassas, VA. She started playing volleyball in sixth grade and continued on to play at the collegiate level. Her team hosted Nationals all 4 years she played and won 3rd place at Nationals in the conference her senior year. Rachel was a good leader both on and off the court for the team and was a three year captain at State University of New York at Canton and was the Assistant Coach during her fifth year of college. 

 

Rachel graduated with an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelors degree in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Human Services. She has a Masters degree in School Counseling from Liberty University as well as an Educational Specialist degree. Rachel is currently working towards her Doctorate in Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction. Rachel is working as a High school counselor at Stafford High School and thoroughly enjoys working with students whether it be academically, socially, or emotionally. In her free time, she loves working out, completing word searches, painting, and hanging out with her family and friends.
