Sydney Dailey is a Maryland native from Silver Spring, Maryland. She began playing volleyball her freshman year of high school at Our Lady of Good Counsel. In high school she earned three conference and state championships, was named captain of her team, and was named 1st team WCAC her senior year as a middle hitter. She played for Metro American her sophomore and junior years of high school coached by Metro 16 Travel coach, Sam Danai. Her sophomore year her team went to Nationals and her junior year her team won Capitol Hill Classic. 
 
Sydney attended college at Norfolk State University, where she played division 1 volleyball as an outside hitter. She was on the athletic honor roll all four years, and was the Vice President of the Student Athlete Academic Committee. She graduated a semester early in December 2016, with a Bachelor degree in Psychology. 
 
After graduating she began her coaching career as an assistant coach for the boys Varsity team at Watkins Mill High School. She then went on to assistant coach girls Varsity volleyball at Our Lady of Good Counsel high school. She has also coached volleyball skill camps at Good Counsel every summer since 2010. She is completely in love with the game of volleyball and loves watching players grow as both athletes and as people.
