"I am excited to join the Metro family! Metro is a fantastic club with the focus on player development and training. I look forward to seeing how the players grow on and off the court.”

Katie is entering her first year with Metro as the 16’s East Assistant Coach.

As a Maryland native, Katie started playing volleyball in sixth grade. She started her club career with MVSA at 13, where her team traveled to nationals two years in a row. For her high school team, she was a four-year starter, tournament MVP, team MVP and captain, and helped win her team the conference championship all four years.

Katie continued her volleyball career at Gettysburg College where she played DS/Libero all four years. Her final year, she served as team captain, leading her conference in total digs and digs per set. She received First Team All-Conference accolades while receiving All-Conference Sportsmanship. While at Gettysburg, Katie majored in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish. She completed her Spanish minor in a semester abroad in Seville, Spain.

After graduation, Katie continued playing USAV volleyball and began coaching in CHRVA. She was the defensive/assistant coach for a 14 and under travel team. Her favorite moments were watching the players put into action the training they received during practice.

Recently, Katie completed her masters’ degree at the University of Maryland where she studied Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. During her first year as a Terp, she served as a manager to the women’s volleyball team. She coached at various clinics and camps.
