Metro VBC Heather Williams - 15 East Head Coach - 2018
"Coaching is about sharing my love of the game with other young players. I hope to inspire young players just like I was inspired when I started playing with Metro in my high school years."

 
Heather began playing CHRVA volleyball at 8 years old. She played Varsity all 4 years for Elizabeth Seton High School. She made All-County Team for 4 years in high school and she was a 2-time All-Met player during her Junior and Senior years at ESHS. She earned a full athletic scholarship to UMBC.
 

While at UMBC, she made the US National Deaflympic team. The team traveled to Rome, Italy to compete in the 2001 Deaflympics, where the team earned a Silver Medal. During the summer of 2016, she returned to the Deaflympic team. The team earned a Gold Medal in the Pan-Am Championships and the World Championships.

She earned her Bachelor’s in History from UMBC in May of 2005.  She continued to play volleyball on the Adult USAV teams. In 2006, her team competed in the National Tournament in New Orleans, LA. While at Nationals, her team finished 2nd overall in the National tournament and she made the All-Tournament team.

She currently coaches at Elizabeth Seton High School. This will be her first year coaching at Metro Volleyball Club, even though this is her 16th year coaching volleyball in the region.

She has her Master’s in Teaching from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She teaches Special Education in PG County for 2nd through 4th grades. She currently resides in Annapolis with her husband, Lance, and her twin boys, Trysten & Brynden.
