Originally from Louisville, KY, Sarah started playing club volleyball at 8 years old. Growing up, she played for Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA) and coached for two years at this club. Sarah   completed her undergraduate degree and master's degree in Health Promotion Management at American University, where she played as an OH for the volleyball team for four years. In her time at AU, the team won 3 consecutive Patriot League Championships and won 3 tournament games in the NCAA tournament, making it to the round of 16 in 2013.

Last year, Sarah served as a volunteer coach at American and the team won the Patriot League Tournament. Now, she is an Assistant Coach at American University. This is her second season with MetroVBC, as last year she was a head coach for 14 Central.
