Lauren returns for her third year with Metro VBC as the 14 Travel Head Coach and 11th year coaching.  In 2017, her team qualified for the Junior Olympics at the 14 Open Level for the first time in club history and finished 23rd in the nation.  In 2016, her team won 4 of 11 tournaments including the Capitol Hill Classic. The team qualified for the Junior Olympics at the National level, placed 2nd at the South Atlantic Championships 15s Division, and finished 62-20 for the season. 

Lauren spent two years as the 14 Travel head coach, 2 years as the 14 Travel assistant, and four years as the 16 North Head Coach with Metro American VBC.  In 2014, her team placed 2nd at the Capitol Hill Classic, was Region Champions, and qualified for the Junior Olympics at the National level. In 2015, her team had the highest 14 Travel record in MAVBC history at 58-17. The team started the season with 3rd place at Capitol Hill Classic, won the silver bracket at NEQ, and finished higher than any other 14s team at the York and Hampton Roads MAPL (14-16s division). 

Lauren began her volleyball career at Grace Academy (1999-2002) where she was first team All-County and All-Area. Her high school finished 1st in conference, 3 out of 4 years. She played for Washington County Juniors (2000-2003) where she competed in the Junior Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.  

Lauren went on to play for Shepherd University (2003-2007) as a middle hitter. She was 2nd team all-conference and captain her senior year. She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics.

Lauren is working as a Portfolio Manager in Washington, DC.
