Metro VBC Megan McQuillen - 12 North Assistant Coach - 2017

This will be Megan's third year as the assistant coach for the 12 North team. Megan began playing volleyball at a very young age. She enjoyed playing high school volleyball for a small private school in Hagerstown Maryland. Her team excelled by remaining in the top four from freshman to senior year. Her senior year she led the team in digs and blocks. The team went undefeated taking first place in their conference. They also placed first in the Maryland state tournament, and third at the national tournament in Dayton, Tennessee.

Megan begin playing college volleyball at Frostburg university and then chose the next year to begin coaching after realizing that was truly her passion. She has enjoyed five successful seasons as a head coach and has enjoyed the past two years with Metro assisting the 12U players. Her favorite part of coaching younger players is watching them grow in skill, knowledge, and the love for the game of volleyball.

When not coaching Megan enjoys playing with her young son Ben and daughter Mollie as well as working part time as an emergency room nurse.
