Mike started playing indoor volleyball in 1989 after moving to the east coast post collage as, at the time, the midwest did not offer much in the way of men's volleyball.  Mike quickly moved up to men's USAV AA playing over 20 years, including almost 10 trips to the US Open, playing in both AA and Open.  Mike coached his USAV team for 2 years.  Mike's real passion was grass volleyball having won open level tournaments across Maryland, DC, and Virginia.  Mike also played open beach volleyball with the i.e. VB and Pro Beach East organizations.  This is Mike's first season coaching juniors.
