Jerry Burge - 18/17 North Head Coach - 2017
“I feel very honored and excited to take on the new role as the North director. We have a great coaching staff who knows the game a volleyball and has a diverse background of skill sets and experiences. I am eager to start the club season and continue to grow the game of volleyball and develop young athletes in the north.”
Jerry Burge will be the Head Coach for our 17/18 and 10 North teams this season. He has been coaching with Metro for 5 years. Jerry is also in his first season as the Metro North director. Jerry comes with many years of coaching experience including: former head coach and assistant coach at Frederick Community College and Head Varsity coach at St. John’s at Prospect Hall.
Jerry competed with the Western Maryland Club Volleyball Team as a Setter and Team Captain from 1995 – 1997 and with various USAV Chesapeake Region Men’s Volleyball teams as a setter and libero from 1996 – 2002.
Jerry graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University with an MBA in Business Administration and is currently a Clinical Project Manager at Leidos Biomedical Research Inc.
