Metro VBC Luke Strimer - 13 Travel Assistant Coach - 2017

Luke Strimer is going into his second year of coaching club volleyball.  As an assistant he brings a vast experience in athletics having played Division-I soccer and participated in U.S. Soccer's Premier Development League. His background in coaching youth sports goes back to teaching soccer clinics as a high school student and serving as an assistant and head coach for U9 and U11 teams for the West Virginia Soccer Club after playing for Marshall University Men's Soccer Team. One of his former players is now playing Division-I soccer.

Luke started playing volleyball after moving to Washington, DC in 2011 and continues to grow his skills and love for the sport. In addition to playing sand volleyball, Luke has also taken multiple coaching courses to further his abilities as coach. He considers coaching as a platform to help athletes grow as individuals as well as mastering volleyball-specific skills.

Luke is the husband of U13 head coach Elizabeth Strimer and currently works as a staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives.
